Visit: Hanoi, Hoabinh, Kimboi, Ninh Binh, Hue, Hoi An, Mekong Delta, Cuchi, Ho Chi Minh City.
This classic bicycle exploration of Vietnam, starts in the Hanoi Capital and ends in the Ho Chi Minh City in the south of Vietnam. Along the way we pause to visit the main sites in Halong Bay, Hoa Binh, Hoi An, Hue, and finally Ho Chi Minh City. What makes this tour special is our route hardly touches the frenetic Highway One, as we ride along quiet or little used roads to discover the real Vietnam.
Taking time out of the saddle we have excursions by boat in Halong, Hue and on Mekong river as well as interesting rides to Cu Chi Tunnels. After cycling through the incredible limestone karst scenery of Hoa Binh and boating in Halong Bay we spend a night aboard the Reunification Express Train to Hue then passing the Hai Van pass to Hoi An, an old commercial town from the 17th century. On reaching Ho Chi Minh City, we have time to ride to the Mekong delta and homestay to experience the local life.
Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi (B)
Upon arrival at Noi Bai airport, pick up and transfer to hotel. Rest of day is at leisure. Free for dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour - 30km (B/L/D
AM: Breakfast at hotel. Hanoi city tour by bike: the main boulevards of Hanoi, Temple of Literature, Dong Xuan market, the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the One pillar pagoda. Continue biking around West lake to the Ethnology museum. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Pagoda around - Kim Boi - Hoa Binh - 80km (B/L/D)
Full day visit by bicycle to the ancient Thay and Tay Phuong Pagoda (built in 8th century) in the Northern countryside. Cycling about 30km of the route. Continue to Xuan Mai town. Biking on Ho Chi Minh road to Kim Boi. Transfer to V - Resort in Hoa Binh to relax. V - Resort is located in an unspoiled valley in Kim Boi, Hoa Binh. Overnight at V - Resort.
Day 4: Kim Boi - Hanoi capital - 60km (B/L/D) 
AM: Relax at the resort. Free time to discover Fruit and Vegetable Farmland spreading over thousands of hectares in the heart of Hoa Binh's breathtaking Green Mountains and Hot Springs.
PM: After lunch, biking down hill to Chi Ne town and transfer by bus to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi. Dinner is your choice. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi (B/L/D)
08: 00 Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi. Depart for Halong Bay. 11: 30 arrive in Halong. Lunch. Boat trip (about 4 hours), visit THIEN CUNG & DAU GO caves. Enjoy the extraordinary landscapes of Halong Bay with nearly 3000 small islands and fantastic types of limestone karsts. 15: 00 back to Hanoi. 19: 30 arrive in Hanoi. Dinner at restaurant and overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Hanoi - Hue (B/L/D) Night train to Hue 
AM: free time to do cycling in the Hanoi city without tour guide. Free time for lunch.
PM: Transfer you and bikes to Hanoi railway station for departure to Hue. Overnight on train.
Day 7: Visit Hue by Bike (B/L/D)
Arrive in Hue in the morning. Meeting and transfer to your hotel in city centre. Bike to Thien Mu Pagoda along the Perfume river. Hue sightseeing by bike includes the Imperial Citadel, Bike ride to visit the Mausoleums of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh (cycling 30km). Free time for Dong Ba market and Truong Tien bridge. Overnight in Hue.
Day 8: Hue - Hoi An (B/L/D)
AM: Breakfast at hotel. Morning bicycle ride to Hoi An ancient town (130km) via Hai Van pass (500m high). This ride has some sharp and short hills. Cycling about 80km of the route on the way to Lang Co beach. Overnight in Hoi An
Day 9: Visit Hoi An Town & Beach by Bike (B/L/D)
Walking tour of the old streets of Hoi An where the mix of Japanese and Chinese architecture reflects its past history as an important trading port. Afternoon cycling to Cua Dai beach (5km). Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 10: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L/D) Flight
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh city. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and check-into hotel. City tour by bus to main boulevards of Old Saigon, Notre Dame Cathedral, the splendid Post Office, the bustling Ben Thanh market, Cho Lon China town and Thien Hau pagoda... Dinner on boat cruise. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long - 40km (B/L/D) Homestay
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Vinh Long, crossing the ferry. Ride from Tra On to An Binh islands along the tree lined roads. Visit fruit garden and old house. Dinner with the family. Homestay in An Binh island.
Day 12: Vinh Long - Tra Vinh - Ho Chi Minh City - 60km (B/L/D) 
After breakfast, riding back to Tieu Can to visit old Khmer temple and lotus pond. Then return to Ho Chi Minh City by minibus. Free time to relax in Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City ride to Cu Chi (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Cycle to the famous Cu Chi tunnels about 70km from Ho Chi Minh city. We cycle part of the route (about 30km) of the route. Return to Ho Chi Minh city by minibus. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Free at leasure till transfer to the airport for departure
